Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Short version: privategram does not log, store, or transmit any input you paste into a tool. Each tool runs entirely in your browser. This page documents that claim per-tool and discloses the third-party services (analytics and ads) that load on page view.
Who operates this site
Oddlogix LLC, Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA.
Per-tool data handling
- Passphrase Generator (/passphrase) — Reads a slider value and option flags. Generates passphrases entirely in JavaScript using the EFF Large Wordlist (bundled with the page). Output is rendered to the browser only. Nothing is transmitted.
- Password Strength Tester (/password-strength) — The password you type is scored locally by zxcvbn (a JavaScript library bundled with the page, including its dictionary of common passwords). The password is held in component state for the duration of the page and never transmitted, logged, or persisted to URL hash, localStorage, or cookies.
- AES Text Encryption (/encrypt-text) — Plaintext and password are processed entirely by your browser's Web Crypto API (built into Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge by their respective vendors). Key derivation (PBKDF2 or Argon2id) and AES-GCM encryption run on your device. Neither plaintext nor password leaves the page.
- Image EXIF Stripper (/strip-metadata) — Images are loaded via FileReader into a browser Canvas, redrawn to strip metadata, and downloaded as a Blob. The image is never uploaded.
- PII Redactor (/redact) — Pasted text is processed by client-side regex. The redacted result is rendered locally and may be reflected in the URL hash for shareability (the URL hash is not sent to servers in HTTP requests, so the data stays on your device).
- Cookie Lookup (/cookie-lookup) — Looks up the cookie name you typed against an embedded pattern map and a separate JSON file (the Open Cookie Database) lazy-loaded from this site's CDN. The cookie name is matched in JavaScript; no lookup is sent to a third-party server.
What we do not collect
- Tool inputs and outputs. See per-tool details above. None of this leaves your device.
- Account data. There are no accounts.
- Email addresses. There is no signup or newsletter.
What we do collect (page-load only)
- Aggregate page views via Google Analytics. This tells us which tools are popular — not what you typed into them.
- Standard server logs held by Cloudflare (CDN provider), including IP addresses and request metadata, retained briefly.
Advertising
privategram displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance. Data collected by AdSense may include your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. AdSense does not have access to anything you type into the tools — it only sees standard page-view information.
You can control personalized advertising via Google's Ad Settings, the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out, or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out.
Third-party services
- Google AdSense — ads and ad personalization cookies.
- Google Analytics — aggregate page-view metrics only. No integration with tool inputs.
- Google Fonts — serves Fraunces, Inter, and JetBrains Mono. Google may log IP addresses for font delivery.
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies
privategram itself does not set first-party cookies. Cookies may be set by:
- Google AdSense and its ad-serving partners (for ad delivery and frequency capping).
- Google Analytics (for visit measurement).
You can manage cookies in your browser settings or via the opt-out links above.
Your rights
California residents (CCPA): you have the right to request information about and deletion of personal data we hold. Contact us at moc.xigolddo@ih .
EU/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Because privategram does not collect personal data from tool inputs, most GDPR requests relate to analytics and ad data held by our third-party providers (see links above).
Children
privategram is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted with a new date at the top of this page.
